Through the Needle, stop suffering from emphysema

60 million people who suffer from emphysema throughout the world, may soon receive good news from a U.S. medical school.
Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania's are studying a medical treatment that can provide important solutions for those suffering from advanced emphysema. The study is focused on a procedure called 'bypass' air which will create channels to release air trapped in the lungs. So would facilitate symptoms of emphysema presented with breathing difficulties.
In general, emphysema caused by smoking. For this chronic disease, which progresses, there is no cure. It is an irreversible lung disease and is characterized by the destruction of lung tissue. The loss of natural elasticity of the lungs, accompanied by destruction of the airways, blocking the entry of air into the lungs.
The patient stays always in the absence of air breathing often. For the patient who suffers from emphysema, normal activities become difficult and pushed into oxygen therapy.
"To date there are limited opportunities for those patients who suffer during each breath," says Dr. John Kucharczuk, chief researcher. "This new procedure - not surgical - creates new routes for the passage of air and may provide another option for those who are on the waiting list for lung transplantation."
During the bypass air channels, physicists initially used a Doppler examination which enters through a flexible bronchoscopy (usually used to pass through the mouth to the lungs air ducts) to identify positions away blood cells.
Then they created a small track using a special needle by holding the channel open. Needles enable extraction of air trapped in the lungs unhindered air channels so that the patient breathes more easily. / Telegraph /
